FLEET ACTIVITIES YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 29, 2025) - Defense Logisitics Agency (DLA) contracted personnel join Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Far East personnel preparing to remove the base of Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka's (CFAY) Command Digital Marquee Building 3020 May 29, 2025. The 16 bolts securing the digital marquee's basewere significantly corroded and took nearly three hours to remove. The marquee was originally procured and installed using funds awarded by the Commander-in-Chiefs 2001 Installation of Excellence award. CFAY won the award in 2001, it's third in a four year stretch after going back-to-back in 1998 and 1999. A new marquee installation is scheduled to begin in late summer 2025.
