Gary Caponetti disembarks from his final flight as a 103rd Airlift Wing pilot and is greeted by jubilant friends and family holding champagne bottles and squirt guns in East Granby, Connecticut, May 3, 2025. Completing a "fini" flight and getting doused in champagne afterwards is a tradition for retiring pilots. Lt. Col. Caponetti celebrated a double retirement with colleague Lt. Col. Josh Panis.
