FORT BELVOIR, Va. (May 6, 2025) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class John Bigart, Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Emily Scattergood and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Kurt Ehntholt, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Fort Belvoir, conduct secondary medical assessments, wound care and splint placement during an inaugural Field Training Exercise (FTX) on board Fort Belvoir, May 6, 2025. The FTX provided a critical focus on combat casualty care and the rapid deployment to field medical facilities, bringing together 65 Sailors for intensive hands-on training in expeditionary medicine, directly supporting the command’s mission to “train, deploy, and sustain operationally ready forces that deliver exceptional expeditionary medical capabilities to the warfighter.” (U.S. Navy Photo by Kyle Harvey)
