NMRTC Fort Belvoir Launches Its First Ever Field Training Exercise to Boost Combat Medical Readiness

FORT BELVOIR, Va. (May 6, 2025) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Neville Gould and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Blake Price, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Fort Belvoir, practice emergency airway management techniques during an inaugural Field Training Exercise (FTX) on board Fort Belvoir, May 6, 2025. The FTX provided a critical focus on combat casualty care and the rapid deployment to field medical facilities, bringing together 65 Sailors for intensive hands-on training in expeditionary medicine, directly supporting the command’s mission to “train, deploy, and sustain operationally ready forces that deliver exceptional expeditionary medical capabilities to the warfighter.” (U.S. Navy Photo by Kyle Harvey)
