U.S. Army COL. Ryan C. Kendall, commander of the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, gives a speech after completing his final flight on Katterbach Army Airfield, Germany, May 27, 2025. Kendall has flown Apaches for the Army for 26 years and has logged over 2,400 hours inside the helicopter cockpit. The final flight includes flying over Neuschwanstein Castle, a significant historical landmark in Germany, before landing back at Katterbach Army Airfield for a farewell ceremony which included family and friends.
