U.S. Army COL. Ryan C. Kendall, commander of 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, completes his final flight in an AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopter on Katterbach Army Airfield, Germany, May 27, 2025. Kendall has flown Apaches for the Army for 26 years and has logged over 2,400 hours inside the helicopter cockpit. The final flight involved flying over Neuschwanstein Castle, a significant historical landmark in Germany, before landing back at Katterbach Army Airfield for a farewell ceremony.
