A U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to 55th Fighter Squadron, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, taxis along the flight line for takeoff at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, April 1, 2025. The 55th and 79th Fighter Squadrons landed at MCAS Cherry Point for refueling while conducting a mock air-to-air battle and cross-country flight exercise to enhance airborne readiness through simulated real-world scenarios, refining tactical maneuvers and threat response.
