NORFOLK, Va. (March 20, 2025) Senior leaders of the Finnish Defence Forces tour the medical wards aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), March 20, 2025. Currently in port Naval Station Norfolk, Wasp is a role 1 medical care facility equipped with four surgical and four dental operating rooms, 38 inpatient ward beds, multiple medical and dental x-ray rooms and is staffed by a team of 22 officers and hospital corpsmen, capable to role 2 care when supplemented by a fleet surgical team.(U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Keresea Illenye.)
