NORFOLK, Va. (March 20, 2025) Members of the Finnish Defence Forces tour the flight deck during a tour of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), March 20, 2025. Currently in port Naval Station Norfolk, Wasp is a role 1 medical care facility equipped with four surgical and four dental operating rooms, 38 inpatient ward beds, multiple medical and dental x-ray rooms and is staffed by a team of 22 officers and hospital corpsmen, capable to role 2 care when supplemented by a fleet surgical team.
