U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Joel De La Cruz, an infantryman assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, Task Force Armadillo, instructs Syrian Free Army (SFA) soldiers on proper takedown techniques for conducting personnel searches during a visit to a combat outpost in Syria’s Deconfliction Zone on Feb. 7, 2025. During the visit, Coalition Forces assessed the outpost’s conditions and trained SFA soldiers in personnel and vehicle searches as well as checkpoint operations.
