Boatswain's Mate 1st Class John Flohrs, from Bothell, Wash., presents a gift from the crew of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53) to Capt. Thomas Halvorson, the outgoing commanding officer, during an at sea change of command ceremony. Capt. Timothy Kott relieved Capt. Thomas Halvorson as commanding officer of Mobile Bay. Mobile Bay is deployed with the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
