Japan Air Self Defense Force participants from Cope North 13 are congratulated for outstanding performance during the exercise closing ceremony at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 15. Cope North 13 was conducted on Andersen, as well as the surrounding islands of Tinian and Saipan from Feb. 4-15. Seventy-two aircraft from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Japan Air Self-Defense Force and Royal Australian Air Force participated in the exercise. The 1,897 personnel from 20 units assisted in allowing those aircraft to fly 823 sorties over the course of the two-week exercise. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Alexandre Montes/Released)
