A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force paratrooper assigned to the 1st Airborne Brigade conducts a static line jump out of a C-130J Super Hercules over Camp Narashino, Japan, Oct. 1, 2024. Approximately 90 JGSDF paratroopers assigned to the 1st AB performed airdrop training from two U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 36th Airlift Squadron. Training opportunities, like this, aim to improve interoperability, deepen mutual understanding of each unit, and to further cement the U.S. and Japanese alliance. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
