U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Cameron Palmer, 36th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, rigs a static line on a C-130J Super Hercules before a flight at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 1, 2024. Approximately 90 Japan Ground Self-Defense Force paratroopers assigned to the 1st Airborne Brigade performed airdrop training from two U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 36th AS. Training opportunities, like this, aim to improve interoperability, deepen mutual understanding of each unit, and to further cement the U.S. and Japanese alliance. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
