The F-15E is an all-weather, extremely maneuverable, tactical fighter designed to allow the Air Force to gain and maintain air supremacy over the CENTCOM area of responsibility and provide security to ground forces conducting counter-violent extremist operations. The F-15E played a key role in exercise Yellow Sands, a combined integrated air and missile defense exercise focused on the defense of the Arabian Peninsula.
