Dr. Alan Weaver Jr., U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas, receives a first-place award for poster presentation, at the 2024 Military Health System Research Symposium in Kissimmee, Florida, Aug. 29. His poster was titled, “Comparing Resuscitative Strategies in a Canine Hemorrhage Model and the Potential Effect on Glycocalyx Damage.” Dr. Terry Rauch, executive director of health readiness policy and oversight and director of research and development with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, presented the awards.
