U.S. Air Force Capt. David Acton, 96th Bomb Squadron B-52 aircraft commander, and 1st Lt. Oscar Klempay, 96th Bomb Squadron B-52 copilot, monitor the throttles on a B-52H Stratofortress over the southwestern United States during a Bamboo Eagle training mission, August 7, 2024. As part of Bamboo Eagle, the 96th Bomb Squadron displayed their ability to employ long range strike missions by departing from Barksdale AFB, flying to their mission location, and returning to their home station all in one sortie.
