    U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Oscar Klempay, B-52H Stratofortress copilot assigned to the 96th Bomb Squadron, prepares to depart Barksdale Air Force Base, La., August 7, 2024, during Bamboo Eagle 24-3. While Bamboo Eagle is a U.S. Air Force Warfare Center directed exercise occurring in the eastern Pacific Ocean, the B-52 crews practiced their long range strike capabilities by departing and returning to Barksdale AFB in one sortie.
