240911-N-ML137-1016 ASAN, Guam (Sept. 11, 2024) - Retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Allan Chatwin, a 98-year-old World War II veteran, visited Joint Region Marianas headquarters to meet with Rear Adm. Brent DeVore, commander, JRM, during his first trip back to Guam since the war, Sept. 11. Chatwin was drafted into the U.S. Navy in 1944 and sent to Canandaigua Lake, N.Y. for basic training.
