240911-N-ML137-1012 ASAN, Guam (Sept. 11, 2024) - Retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Allan Chatwin, a 98-year-old World War II veteran, autographs his photo as a gift to military leaders with Joint Region Marianas during his first trip back to Guam since the war, Sept. 11. Chatwin was drafted into the U.S. Navy in 1944 and sent to Canandaigua Lake, N.Y. for basic training.
