1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment Commander Lt. Col. Christopher Vanek, Pvt. Eric Wooten (representing the youngest member in the company), and Delta Company Commander Jon Anderson cut the ribbon during a dedication ceremony naming Patrol Base Howell in Riyad, Iraq after Pfc. George Howell, on April 26. Howell was killed in an improvised explosive device attack while conducting combat operations in the district of Hawijah, on Dec. 21, 2007.
