    NAVAL AIR STATION NORTH ISLAND, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2024) Chief Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuel) Jason M. Hausman, the Maintenance Material Management Chief of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), from Allentown, Pennsylvania, assigned to engineering department’s maintenance support center aboard the ship leads Boy Scouts from Troop 801 from Coronado, California, during a tour as part of an event hosted by Commander, Naval Air Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet to help the troop earn their aviation merit badge while the ship is moored pierside on Naval Station North Island, Coronado, Aug. 2, 2024. As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy’s timeless roles of sea control and power projection. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-today competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
