Kachashi is usually performed at the end of a festival or party and accompanied with a sanshin. Often times one can see Okinawans dance Kachashi to show their excitement and happiness.

2024年4月3日、キャンプ・シュワブ教育センターで開催された「大人のための英会話クラス」表彰/修了式で、沖縄の沖縄民謡の演奏に合わせて踊られるカチャーシーを踊り、受賞者を歓迎するキャンプ・シュワブ司令官のエリック・T・クラーク大佐。
カチャーシーは通常、祭りやパーティーの最後に三線を伴って踊られる。沖縄の人たちがカチャーシーを踊るのは、興奮や喜びを表すときによく見受けられる。
