Marine Corps Air Station Yuma-based Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 Marines volunteered as a security detail at the 12th Mardi Gras on Main St. event hosted by the Fort Yuma Rotary Club and held at Main St., Jan. 2. The festival had live musical performances, a variety of food, and thousands of people taking in the entertaining atmosphere. “It was our 12th annual Mardi Gras on Main St. event and it was a huge success,” said Debra Green, one of the events coordinator and a native of Yuma, Ariz. “There were over 20,000 spectators at this year’s festival.”
