A Green Beret with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) conducts weight belt laps during a two week long pre-dive course on Jan. 10-19, 2024.
Combat Divers go through multiple days of training while problem solving in oxygen deprived environments. They must face discomfort and overcome instinct gain confidence in the water. The pre-dive areas of emphasis include; weight belt training, equipment recovery, dive supervision pre-inspection, and U.S. Navy drown proofing techniques of hand bound, travel, bobbing, mask retrieval, and floating.
