PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 23, 2023) - U.S. Sailors launch an F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to the "Fighting Checkmates" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, off the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), Sept. 23, 2023. The Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group is currently conducting advanced tactical training in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations with a focus on refining their integrated combat effectiveness.
