NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (Oct. 13, 2023) Rear Adm. Yvette Davids, acting Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, presents a second runner-up award to a representative from the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) at the Surface Line Week Pacific award ceremony. The two-week competition, hosted by Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, highlights professional and athletic skills while enhancing Surface Warfare culture, connectedness, and team building among the Surface Force.
