U.S. Marines with 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, lift a hose from a hose reel base unit at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 30, 2023. Sgt. John Evans, a bulk fuel specialist with 7th ESB, 1st MLG, designed a device enabling a single Marine to safely stow and unreel water and fuel hoses during field operations, alleviating the traditional requirements of a four-person team.
