Chief storekeeper, Christopher Arcega, welcomes Kuwaiti navy divers aboard the mine countermeasure ship USS Scout (MCM 8) in the Persian Gulf, March 1. U.S., U.K. and Kuwaiti naval forces conducted a mine countermeasure exercise Feb. 26 - March 6 to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationship between the coalition nations. Coalition sea services operate across the full spectrum of operations to include mine countermeasure capabilities, a key element of maritime security operations. MSO help set the conditions for security, which promotes stability and global prosperity in the maritime environment and complements the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
