Members of the Suriname Armed Forces participate in a subject matter expert exchange with the South Dakota National Guard as part of the National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program, in coordination with U.S. Southern Command, July 19-20, 2023. The most recent exchange sent three South Dakota National Guard public affairs experts to Paramaribo, Suriname to spend two days discussing communications strategies, media relations and photography techniques both in and out of the classroom.
