Nebraska’s Outstanding Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, Senior Master Sgt. Nathan Schmader presents a bouquet of red roses to Rev. Kris Bohac, wife to outgoing adjutant general Maj. Gen. Daryl Bohac, during the Nebraska Adjutant General Change of Command Ceremony, July 8, 2023, at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The red roses are in full bloom which symbolizes love and respect for her devotion and loyal support of the Soldiers, Airmen, and families of the Nebraska National Guard. Nebraska’s Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, Staff Sgt. Samantha Garcia presented Jennifer Strong, wife of incoming adjutant general Maj. Gen. Craig Strong, a bouquet of yellow rose buds. Yellow is the color of joy and friendship and symbolizes the relationship between the Nebraska National Guard Soldiers, Airmen and their families. Shortly, the rose buds will blossom as will the friendships that will bloom during her time with the Nebraska Military Department.
