Oregon Army National Guard Sgt. Hannah Hawkins (L) and Lt. Col. Soon Yun Ji (R) engage with Hai Phong University students during an engagement on May 18, 2023 in Hai Phong, Vietnam. Members of the Oregon Guard were in Vietnam to support an annual training exchange, known as the Disaster Management Engagement Activity, centered around disaster response efforts, but took time to engage in the local community to increase cultural understanding. The university students event included traditional food and games, music, a service project removing litter, and engaging with students who have been studying English. (National Guard photo by Maj.
