JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. – U.S. Army doctor residents with Madigan Army Medical Center carry a litter during Madigan Army Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) Capstone Event on May 17, 2023. The GME Capstone Event is a five-day exercise undergone by more than 70 graduating resident physicians that tests various tactical and medical skills in a simulated combat environment. During the event the doctors were escorted by Green Berets with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) who provided notional safety and security.
