Mauricio Vila, Governor of Yucatán, Mexico, gives opening remarks to kick off the Caribbean Hurricane Awareness Tour in Merida, April 17, 2023. Vila emphasized the importance of being ready for the upcoming hurricane season and the critical role the Hurricane Hunters’ mission is to the weather forecast. This year the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron were able to showcase their Reserve Citizen Airmen crew and the WC-130J Super Hercules aircraft.
