During a public tour Saturday co-hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District and Audubon's Trinity Bird Count, the public was introduced to this quality habitat just five miles from downtown Dallas skyscrapers. The wetlands also reduce flood risk for Dallas citizens by helping convey floodwaters out of the center of the city.
