Capt. David Adams, Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo (CFAS), Sasebo Mayor Norio Tomonaga, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Vice Admiral Naruto Nishi, Commandant, JMSDF Sasebo District, and Brig. Gen. Shingo Nashinoki, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade commander, bowl their ceremonial first throws to commence the Sasebo New Year’s Friendship Bowling Tournament at Paradise Bowl in Sasebo, Japan Jan. 17, 2023.
