Retired Army Lt. Gen. Thomas James leads off the second day of Iron Summit, a 1st Armored Division-hosted leadership and development forum, with a presentation on training management at the El Paso Convention Center at El Paso, Texas, Dec. 14, 2022. Almost 800 Iron Soldier-leaders and partner unit leaders gathered downtown to share experiences and listen to a series of experts on topics ranging from battle rhythm to caring for others. James is a former commander of 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat team, 1st AD and former commanding general of First Army.
