Soldiers from the 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss on the move in downtown El Paso, Texas, Dec. 13, 2022. The 1st AD hosted the 2022 Iron Summit, a conference for Iron Soldier and partner unit leaders ranging from the company level to the brigade level, as well as local and regional civilian leaders, at the El Paso Convention Center. As part of their time downtown, Soldiers were encouraged to check out local eateries and chat with locals who have welcomed Soldiers and their families to the Borderland for more than three generations.
