Brig. Gen. Kevin G. Collins, deputy commander of Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) and Marine Forces South (MARFORSOUTH), discusses the opportunities across United States and the U.S. Southern Command area of operations to leverage ranges, training events and exercises using Reserve Component talent and capacity to support the Service’s Campaign of Learning during a brief to Combat Development and Integration (CD&I) generals at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Dec. 13, 2022. This visit and dialogue further solidifies efforts during the last year, in support of key objectives outlined in the MARFORRES Campaign Plan 2030, to build a tighter partnership with MARFORRES/MARFORSOUTH that enables the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory to fully harness the Total Force to advance Force Design 2030 initiatives. CD&I develops future operational concepts and determine how to best organize, train, educate, and equip the Marine Corps of the future. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. David Intriago)
