221103-N-LI114-1075 PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 3, 2022) Mark Pacificar, front, bassist for the band “Vertical Horizon,” shoots an F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the Eagles of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 115, off the flight deck of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), in the Philippine Sea, Nov. 3. “Vertical Horizon” performed for the crew as part of a tour organized by Navy Entertainment, which provides Sailors with quality entertainment while overseas and on deployed ships at sea. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
