Leslie Hoover Lauble, the great granddaughter of President Herbert Hoover, and Iowa National Guard Brig. Gen. Steven Kremer, smile for a photo following a ceremony at the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch, Iowa, on Oct. 23, 2022. Kremer was invited to present the presidential wreath during the ceremony to honor the life of the U.S. president, who died Oct. 20, 1964, and was laid to rest in his hometown. It was the first time in two years that the community held the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lauble also presented a wreath to represent the Hoover family.
