Two wreaths are shown in front of the resting place of President Herbert Hoover and First Lady Lou Henry Hoover at the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch, Iowa, on Oct. 23, 2022. Iowa National Guard Brig. Gen. Steven Kremer was invited to present the presidential wreath (left) during a small ceremony to honor the life of the U.S. president, who died Oct. 20, 1964, and was laid to rest in his hometown. It was the first time in two years that the community held the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
