Brig. Gen. Steven Kremer salutes after presenting a wreath during a ceremony at the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch, Iowa, on Oct. 23, 2022. Kremer was invited to present the presidential wreath during the ceremony to honor the life of the U.S. president, who died Oct. 20, 1964, and was laid to rest in his hometown. It was the first time in two years that the community held the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
