U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Steven Scher, from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a logistics officer assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, utilizes a jackhammer to break through concrete during an airfield damage repair exercise as part of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) 1-23 course, at Canon Air Defense Complex (P111), near Yuma, Arizona, on Oct. 1, 2022. WTI is a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, providing standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine aviation training and readiness, and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
