The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica (AEE) inspect the Guajataca Dam after the passing of Hurricane Fiona. Guajataca Dam is one of the 37 dams around the Island. USACE and AEE are partners to ensure that structures such as the Guajataca Dam are monitored and inspected as a part of our overall Dam Safety program. Life safety is our number one priority.
USACE's, Jacksonville District's, Chief of GeoSystems Branch, Dennis Zeveney, Antilles Office, structural engineer Jorge Rivera assess and document the area with an AEE team.
