220807-N-XB010-1023 PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 7, 2022) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Alejandro Anzaldua, from Austin, Texas, disembarks from the expeditionary mobile base USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5) onto a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) from the forward-deployed amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) following a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) training evolution. New Orleans, part of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
