Maj. Hans Amen, 341st Medical Group flight surgeon, prepares to rappel out of an UH-N1 Huey during an exercise July 15, 2022 at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Mont. During the exercise, the 40th Helicopter Squadron Search and Rescue team provided helicopter support for patient evacuation. They performed hoisting maneuvers with live patients while medical personnel practiced with patient packaging for helicopter transport, including loading and unloading patients from running helicopters.
