United States Senator Lindsey Graham discusses key issues pertaining to the al-Hol individually displaced persons camp with representatives from the Blumont group, an American-based non-governmental organization responsible for camp management, July 5, 2022, in North East Syria. The NGO representatives emphasized the large number of youths living in the camp and the desperate need to reduce the number of residents to both prevent the resurgence of ISIS as well as to provide adequate resources for camp residents. Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve leadership hosted the congressional delegation for a visit within the CJTF-OIR area of operations to meet with Coalition partner forces and discuss needed resources, security and capability improvements and future goals.
