Gen. Amouda, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces commandos team at al-Hasakah, briefs United States Senator Lindsey Graham about the strong partnership between Syrian Democratic Forces and the Coalition July 5, 2022, in Al-Hasakah, Syria. Amouda also briefed Graham and the members of his delegation on improvements made to the Ghuwayran Detention Center and current security operations at the facility and provided updates on rebuilt infrastructure following the January 20, 2022, ISIS attack and attempted prison break in Hasakah governorate. Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve leadership hosted the congressional delegation for a visit within the CJTF-OIR area of operations to meet with Coalition partner forces and discuss needed resources, security and capability improvements and future goals.
