The platoon had the opportunity to work side by side with the Lithuanian Air Defense Battalion. The training exercise showcased the Avengers ‘shoot on the move’ capability through live air engagement training. The Battle Management System Operators achieved a common air picture with the Lithuanians for the first time. This achievement enhances the interoperability between both NATO units.
Ramstein Legacy is a Bi-annual, live-fly, integrated air & missile defense exercise that integrates Allied air and SBAMD units under NATO command & control in a complex, comprehensive LIVE environment across Europe. This exercise will enhance multi-domain interoperability and unit readiness. Consequently, NATO Allies will be better able to safeguard and protect Alliance territory, populations and forces from air and missile threat or attack.
